English A good story, not as brilliantly adapted into a film as the source material would allow, but it's elevated by the performances, with Broderick Crawford particularly appealing to me this time, and he was perfectly suited for the role of Willie Stark. A successful adaptation that isn't genius but still manages to present the story quite powerfully. ()
