Miguel travels to Pontevedra, the city of his birth, with the mission of finding locations for a film. The journey takes him back to the place he grew up, where he not only finds old friends, but also the opportunity of a new relationship: Alicia, a young nurse who will bring him the calm he needs. Miguel will try to complete his work, but what he really likes is to film the people he meets, the movements and faces of his friends, trains going by and the sea. English A not-so-young-anymore Spanish guy returns home, apparently to the city he grew up in and with which he is connected in some weird way. He meets a girl in the street. He asks her how she is, which is followed by an awkward silence, then he asks her how her sister is doing. Later on, he meets a guy who is obviously a former friend of his. He asks him how he is, which is followed by an awkward silence and then he asks how his brother is. Or at least that’s how it went. It seemed as if the dialogues had been written by a snail. The result is that this trio roams through Pontevedra and its surrounding areas, where the most interesting thing is probably the field flooded with water, where there used to be a china factory. Inside the factory, it looked like the fourth part of The Universal Soldier. In the end, all those three characters proved to be real artists and not only did they start behaving like assholes, they also decided they won’t give a damn. They may not have been giving a damn, but this movie was damn boring. ()
