Musical comedy drama directed by Jon M. Chu and based on the 1980s animated series. The story follows aspiring musician Jerrica Benton (Aubrey Peeples) and her three sisters Kimber (Stefanie Scott), Shana (Aurora Perrineau) and Aja (Hayley Kiyoko) who form the band Jem and the Holograms. Encouraged by the words of her deceased inventor father, Jerrica creates a music video which is, unbeknownst to her, uploaded to the internet by her sisters under the name 'Jem'. She becomes an internet sensation and they are snapped up by LA music producer Erica Raymond (Juliette Lewis). They begin touring and performing until, in order to save her family home, Jem gets an advance from Erica which binds her to a solo contract to the dismay of her sisters. The robotic invention 51N3RG.Y (pronounced synergy) created by her father begins functioning and motivates her to repair relations with her bandmates. (Universal Pictures UK)

English Incredibly predictable development of the film, which is too stretched out to convey what it wants to say, because it doesn't say anything new at all. There are a great deal of weak points, but then there are those girls who are nice, the visual aspect that I liked, and also the music, which is simply good. It's modern, it's nice, and for me, it reaches that average. ()
