The final take is shot. The film is done. Pepe, our 15-year-old lead, has to return to his world of mute poverty and dead-end dependency on an abusive father which the film's director briefly freed him from. PEPE'S LIFE, the story of a joyless existence, is done filming. The director has other things to worry about. Pepe's fifteen minutes of fame are over. He feels dumped and betrayed, scheming for vengeance. (Filmfest München)
