The Bad Batch

A post-apocalyptical madness that gets off to a brutal start only to later degrade to total apathy. In the beginning, you get a heroine who got kidnapped. You know nothing. Then someone chops off her leg and arm and some local hobos cook and eat those chopped-off limbs. You stare at it in a horrified fascination, waiting for what comes next. But nothing comes next, except for boredom and vexation. The icing on the cake is the monologue Keanu Reeves that lasts fifteen minutes and says jack shit. Fascinating. (29/04/2020)

The Bad Batch is a film to watch if you want to see something unconventional, intense, with strong characters and a gritty plot that will hit you hard. The film softens a little here and there, but you still get the feeling that it's something really rough. However, if you want to see a horror film, look elsewhere. This is gritty and animalistic, but not horror. (12/12/2017)
