For whatever distance that may separate us, we will always be tied with love. Takuji was a boy of the sea. Kiyono (Ruriko Asaoka) was a country girl who grew up in a small village in the mountains. They were only thirteen years old when they first met one another. Years later, they reunite; Takuji had graduated fishery school and Kiyono had grown to become an enchanting beauty. It was love at second sight. The two runoff to get married. It seemed as if nothing could break them apart - until the war. Takuji receives a draft paper from the military. (Nikkatsu)
