English I caught up on a 4 year old horror film that I probably ignored at the time, but the result is a digestible one-off that has nothing to offend. The film follows the classic template, at least initially, where a family moves into a new apartment where someone once died and now it's supposedly haunted. Fortunately, this is not a ghost story and genre-wise I would probably classify it as a Home Invasion. It stars the young Starlight from The Boys, a woman who is more than good to look at, the villain is also cool, there's plenty of suspense and an unconventional ending. But it lacked gore for a higher rating. Those who haven't seen it might give the film a chance. English Within is not a great horror movie, it's not a stunning horror movie, but it is a good horror movie. It's a horror film that can scare you, but above all there's an important atmosphere that you can cut, coupled with the fact that there are some really good scenes. For example, watching what was happening behind me in the reflection on the kitchen counter was really creepy to me. ()
