English So I expected a lot, although I did not expect such a drop in my impression of this show. I found the first episode interesting, the races had suspense, and the protagonists did not seem completely pointless. However, in the second episode, the tension faded, they started to talk nonsense, and the "we can be models" section was quite irritating. The beginning of the third episode was even more annoying; the introduction of their opponents and the catchphrase "they are idols, we are models" made me feel completely disgusted. The guys then exchanged a few more conversations where the bad quality of the crap dialogue was killing me, then it was off to the races. I thought things might pick up again. However, the next section of position-by-position interviews was again, for the most part, absolutely awful. Then the race finally started, and all the suspense I felt with the first episode was gone. The anime's creators successfully killed it the moment everyone who was doing some supposedly cool trick performed it in a totally stupid yet slow-motion way, making it look silly and weird. The conclusion of the race and the shot of one sweaty protagonist moving his head very slowly and dripping with sweat finished me off completely, and any doubts about what the main focus of this anime series was were suddenly resolved. I am done, and for the first time in a long time, I am pretty pissed at the MADHOUSE animation studio. They have turned the opportunity to build an interesting and stylish sports anime series into nothing more than, as SonGokussj says in his review on FilmBooster, "this show is just fan service for girls"! I am going to award one star for a pretty decent first episode. Dropped after three episodes 2/10. ()
