Twenty-somethings Sam, Tim, Nestor, Vadim and Julia are inseparable friends who finally realize their childhood dream: sharing an ultra-cool apartment in the heart of Paris. When Sam is cut off by his father and can make rent, he decides not to tell his friends and to pay his way by selling weed to the Parisian bourgeoisie. Forced by a neurotic dealer to accept a huge quantity of marijuana to sell in only a week, Sam finally confesses everything to his friends, who rally around to help. What follows is a hilariously improbable adventure as the five friends try to outsmart and evade the maniacal drug dealer and his thugs. (StudioCanal UK)

English Rent for EUR 2,000+, pizza for EUR 200+. That’s the right and politically correct France and I’m really glad that I saw it; and that not a single one of those French guys ever wondered about any of the amounts? Well that’s clear… The movie itself has its better moments, but its worse moments as well. But the French bums were about as pleasant as a splinter in your ass so I was glad that I actually managed to watch the film to the end. ()

English Five, or a crazy comedy about how it's possible to go to great lengths to keep an apartment, not achieve it in the end, but still end up with more than you had at the beginning. With this group of five friends, you don't really understand how they function properly, but they do, and at times, they're quite entertaining. Not always, but here and there, a scene turns out well.
