The special centers on a harried prehistoric bird mom Ethel who entrusts her precious, soon-to-hatch egg to Sid. However, things take a turn for the worst, and Manny, Diego and the rest of the gang come to the rescue and take off on a daring mission that turns into the world's first Easter egg hunt. A mediocre Easter special about the old Ice Age gang. It has some good ideas (Easter traditions) and quite funny scenes, but as with the last two feature films (the fourth and fifth), the overly didactic tone hurts it the most.

Actually, I quite liked how the creators managed this in the end. I won't say that it's an absolutely amazing animated comedy and that they really made fun of Easter, but presenting the origins of Easter with this prehistoric gang seemed quite entertaining to me. However, when it ended, it occurred to me that it wasn't anything that great after all.
