Widely hailed as the greatest concert movie ever made, director Jonathan Demme's celebrated film captures Talking Heads live at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre in December, 1983. The film's legendary opening sees David Byrne walk only an empty stage and give a mesmerising, stripped-back rendition of Pyscho killer. From here the set and the band literally evolve song by song until both are complete and Byrne appears in his iconic 'big suit'. Capturing the infectious energy of a unique Talking Heads performance, Stop Making Sense is an unforgettable musical cinematic experience. (Second Sight)

English Talking Heads is definitely not the type of band that I listen to, which is due to the fact that I basically didn't know them at all. Some of their songs, yes, but not the band itself. However, the documentary is so well made that even though the music didn't really appeal to me, I enjoyed watching the musicians. Some of the plays of light and shadow were also great. ()
