Once upon a time there lived a Tsar named Yeremey who went on a year-long journey to take inventory of all he owned. One day he is kidnapped by the underwater Tsar Chudo-Yudo. One of the best classic Russian fairy tales filmed in Soviet studios, which, although it does not reach the fame or quality of Mrazík, still belongs to above-average. Of course, a bit of nostalgia influences my rating, but the wizard Čudo Judo is among my distinct movie memories and despite the staged sets and the knowledge that today's fantasy stories offer much more grandiose spectacle, I give it a strong 70% overall impression.
