English Thanks to the fact that Graham Greene was (and still is) considered to be one of the very best writers of serious spy novels, he could get away with writing a lighter version of the same. Although, lighter... In fact this is an absolutely serious spy thriller through and through; just the personable main protagonist and the bureaucratic claptrap lighten the mood. And the humor is sparing and based on the fact that you know how a regular hero of this genre would behave in the situations that Wormold finds himself in. ()
