Plots(1)
After the death of her husband, count San Salvador, Zimonyi Eszter returns to Budapest penniless, so she jumps at the offers of "Irma", a dressmaker's showroom, and by Grand Hotel, both willing to use her name and beauty in advertising their products. In the evenings, countess San Salvador is something of a real high-society lady much liked by everybody, while during the day she works as a manicurist and is, at the same time, a medical student, using her maiden name. A well known professor working at the Medical University spends all his leisure-time as member of a company which countess San Salvador is also a member of. One day, however, he discovers that one of the young female medical students, is the spitting image of the beautiful widow. The professor then chances upon a young manicurist, who so strongly reminds him of the countess that the incident throws him off balance. He eventually finds the count at Irma dressmaker's showroom. An explanation to the professor ensues and an order is then placed for a wedding dress. (official distributor synopsis)
