Elise Lafontaine has had a secret routine for years: every morning and every night she waves at the express train passing by her house. When, one fateful day, she finds a letter from the train driver, her lonely life turns upside down. She engages in a promising correspondence with him until the train is permanently detoured. This movie didn't impress me with its originality, it didn't impress me with how innovatively or experimentally it was shot, but it simply impressed me with being simple, beautifully human with an idea that may seem banal and slightly cliché, but it still managed to touch me nicely and I enjoyed that half an hour.
