The film is not just the story of the artistic life of Carlo Di Palma, cinematographer and an artist-artisan, but a genuine itinerary through Italian cinema with the more than one hundred films he has collaborated on: from the neo- realism of Visconti, De Sica, and Germi, to the masterpieces that have marked the history of world cinema, such as Antonioni's Il deserto rosso and Blow-Up, to his long collaboration with Woody Allen. The anecdotes and comments of such people from the international film world as Bernardo Bertolucci, Woody Allen, Wim Wenders, Volker Schlondorf, and Ken Loach, accompany us along this journey to give us the colors and vision of an Italian cinema that will remain forever in the history of world cinema.
