Another Time

Ghadir, a worker at a chemical plant returning home from serving as prison sentence, finds out that his daughter Somayeh is expecting a baby out of wedlock. Apparently, his wife wants to take the baby from her daughter and kill it. Somayeh, however, takes the baby and runs off while being cursed by her mother. Ghadir beats Somayeh and locks her up. He will not let her out of the dark room until she reveals the name of the father. Somayeh falls ill and becomes feverish; the female doctor her mother sends for, diagnoses plugged ducts in her breasts causing an infection. She asks for the baby and wants to know what they feed him. Somayeh's mother tells her the baby has died. The grandmother lives in the same house and curses Somayeh and her daughter.
