Two different musical role models make up this programme: on the one hand, Bikini Kill on their U.K. tour in the early 90s in Lucy Thane's It Changed My Life. A whole immersion in empowerment for all the young girls who attended some revealing concerts that changed more than one life. On the other hand, the Icelandic "Grandma lo fi", Sigridur Nielsdottir, who began her musical career at seventy years of age. A real D.I.Y. heroine with 59 discs composed and performed with her synthesizer (embellished with arrangements using toy instruments and kitchenware). She is also responsible for making the covers and distributing her creations. A real point of reference in Icelandic indie-tronic, between ingenuity and an amazing creativity, which this film portrays in a colourful way, using lo fi animation, super 8 filming and musical numbers.
