English In the context of ghost movies, I must say that’s a silly flick that has nothing to hold the audience’s attention. If you like films about ghosts, you’re definitely in for a disappointment. ()

English Once again I was lured by a decent trailer, but in the end I got an generic demonic movie that differs from its competitors only by the attractive setting of a morgue. A technically solid horror film with a decent opening exorcism, a likeable protagonist and the chilling corpse of Hanna, but I can't write more praise about it. The jump-scares are of the cheapest kind and only work on viewers unfamiliar with horror. The finale ends before you realise it even started and the few horror elements occasionally conjure up a decent atmosphere, but most of the time it's more like wandering around the morgue and nothing much of note happens. 45% ()

English A star for the use of the incredibly brutalist Boston City Hall building as a central hospital, and that includes the interiors. Truly a monumental monster of concrete that you just don't see. The rest of it is the usual tired bore with uninteresting characters and not much fun development, kept at least somewhat afloat by Kirby Johnson's dancing skills. ()

English I like the fact that the filmmakers conceived The Possession of Hannah Grace a little differently, that it is not a classic exorcism film where exorcism itself plays an important role. This film is more about the consequences. But that doesn't change the fact that the film is still a bit long and could have been shortened. There's not that much substance going on here in the pathology. And one decent character is no guarantee that the rest of the script and cast will be worth it. ()
