English A very nice fairy tale that has everything could want. A brave boy, a beautiful damsel in distress, a treacherous villain, magic and sorcery, humor and suspense... And last but not least, the monsters that seem to have come straight from the hands of Master Harryhausen. I liked it very much. It’s a kind of unpretentious viewing from which one doesn't expect too much, and then one is all the more satisfied. If the filmmakers had forgiven the lengthy scene of the sailors and witches fighting, it would have been even better. The final monster-duel is good (although the sea "tentacle" could have been less rubbery), but the dragon is the real highlight.__P.S. I'm curious about the remake (?) About Bryan Singer, and whether Jack also kills a giant in it with a mill and a scythe (and whether he then also, like Kerwin Mathews, will say that it was nothing, because he kills giants every day before breakfast).
