Pierre, a 75 year old widower, has lived as a pretty solitary life since his wife's passing. His daughter gets him a computer, hoping it will stimulate his curiosity and maybe – who knows? – meet new people. With the help of Alex, a young computer teacher, Pierre begins browsing and surfing, and soon stumbles upon an online dating website. Under Alex's identity, Pierre meets Flora, a young physiotherapist and rapidly falls under her spell. She in turn is charmed by this elegant yet rather unusual profile and asks him on a date. A real one, face to face. Feeling trapped and excited by this adventure, Pierre accepts and has no other choice but to convince Alex to go in his place. (HBO Europe)

English At the beginning of the movie, I was more skeptical than anything else. I was excited to see Pierre Richard, which was great, but I was surprised by how old he’s gotten. After a while, the grump turns into a cool dude who gets into online dating and the story starts to flow really well. But about a half into the movie, I started to feel bad for the girl, depressed, even. The whole relationship got really twisted and I could feel a disaster coming up. But in the end, it was all good. The French have unraveled it with their typical gracefulness and appeased me with the girl’s (perhaps not so logical) reaction. But that made the experience so much more pleasant. It’s obvious that the script was written by a man, otherwise, it would have probably taken a very different turn. Throughout the movie, Pierre Richards has managed to grow on me, and the movie resulted in a very decent four-star rating that’s very befitting of Pierre’s portfolio. ()
