Imitation Girl

Writer-Director Natasha Kermani beautifully orchestrates a journey of self-discovery with the story of two women, or really one. A mysterious woman lands in the Southwest and assumes the identity of the first person she sees: a woman on a magazine cover. That woman is Julianna Fox, a porn star trying to find herself amid her own self destruction. Her life seems to be going anywhere but up. Although uncertain of each other's existence their paths are the same. Kermani's Imitation Girl is a lyrically compelling film that will make you question your own intentions in life along with those of the characters. (Cinequest Festival)
