I'm mapping out what I might enjoy from a Hulu production. Kirsten Dunst has stated that she watches Harlots because they remind her of her film Marie Antoinette, which is the best recommendation of all. :) The series is also based on the book by Hallie Rubenhold "The Covent Garden Ladies: Pimp General Jack and the Extraordinary Story of Harris's List" which is a very interesting look at the real "Harris's List of Covent Garden Ladies," a periodical published between 1757 and 1795, dealing annually with the prostitutes working in the infamous part of London. A realistic foundation is the most important thing and it has paid off greatly here.
