Neben den Gleisen

Boizenburg is a small town in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in the north-east of Germany. In the middle of the place in front of the station exist a small kiosk that opens 5:00 am till 10.00 pm. But it's more than that. It's also a pub for shift worker from the slaughterhouse, umemployed, taxi driver and retirees. At the end of 2015 thousands of refugees arrived at the station on their way to the reception camp close to the city. The guests that normally drink beer and watch soccer begin to discus politically and reflect their own situation. It's a special moment where we can look inside their ordinary life and hear their frustrations and hopes. (Deutschfilm)
