Broke, with nothing but her cat to her name and doors closing in her face, Paula (Laetitia Dosch) is back in Paris after a long absence. As she meets different people along the way, there is one thing she knows for sure: she's determined to make a new start and she'll do it with style and panache. (Cannes Film Festival)

English From absolute irritation to surprising harmony - Paula describes an interesting trajectory from a passive, manipulative kicked-aside hysteric to a woman who, despite all the mistakes and setbacks, is able to determine the direction of her life. An unpretentious and intelligent tribute to female tenacity, a drama of everyday mistakes and embarrassments, closeness and chasms. Great respect for the extremely sensitive, detailed directing by Léonor Séraille, and the great performance by Laetitie Dosch. ()

English The thirtysomething Paula was unpleasant and unbelievably annoying at the beginning, but I have to say I enjoyed watching her stumble aimlessly through life after her boyfriend left her and how, after a few painful falls on her face, she turned out to be a pretty nice woman. Apart from the unusually loud hysterics of the central character, my ears were also kept busy by a very good soundtrack by Julie Roué. (75%) ()
