South Dakota rodeo star Brady Blackburn (Brady Jandreau) awakens from a severe head injury, after a horse stamped on his skull. One hundred minutes of lyrical banging the head of a man who’s lost his purpose in life. I can understand Brady, the hero, but I would relate to him more if that lost life purpose of his was something more meaningful than horse or bull riding. The Rider is not for me, but does have its qualities.
