The Good Soldier Švejk

I have never seen this silent version before, so I was quite curious to see how it turned out. And I must admit that Karel Lamač did a great job with this first part, which is about half an hour long. The jokes are not lost here, even though most of them are primarily delivered in intertitles. Karel Noll was born for this role. (27/12/2014)
