Plots(1)

Josh Futterman (Josh Hutcherson) is an uninspired janitor working at a laboratory for disease prevention who still lives at home with his parents and whose only satisfaction in life comes from playing his favourite video game Biotic Wars. When he manages to complete the game, however, two of the characters, Tiger (Eliza Coupe) and Wolf (Derek Wilson), enter his bedroom and reveal to him that he has been chosen as the saviour and must help them on their journey to save mankind. The trio travel through time and head back to 1969 where Josh is tasked with stopping his future boss, Dr Kronish (Keith David), from becoming a scientist. (Fabulous Films)

English A bizarre sci-fi comedy about a janitor who travels through time into the past to save the future which lay in ashes because of a medication for herpes. The comedian Seth Rogen made his old dream come true and shot a vamped up Back to the Future crossed with Terminator in half hour doses with an incredible cadence. After rather a weak first episode, the story mutates into a surreal trip full of blood, ejaculate and cooking lessons. A great tribute to James Cameron, full of pop culture references. ()

English This TV show smells of Seth Rogen from miles away. In-your-face humor that pokes fun of current consumerism, which at the same time refers to current pop-culture, has always been his forte. But, being a fan of old action movies, I don’t know whether I should be ecstatic about it or whether I should simply accept it as fact. I mean the references to old action movies may be nice, but in the context of the level of the jokes that is not unlike the cartoon Sausage Party, I sometimes had to force myself not to turn the thing off. And it’s definitely not because I was offended, but because I don’t know if I find Seth’s stoner ideas funny. Episode seven is a must, that is for sure. James Cameron’s crib was amazing. Other than that, it keeps following the same formula and I actually don’t know whether I enjoyed it or not. ()
