English This must be the best show Stream’s ever shot. There’s a crew in Australia who hosts foreigners in a Czechoslovakian restaurant and serves them Czech or Slovak specialties to taste and review. It’s not always just about the food, but that makes it so much more interesting. Of course, we could argue how much I personally know about Ghana, Zimbabwe, Trinidad or Tobago, for example, but some of the answers can really be surprising and it’s interesting to watch the foreigners answer questions about the Czech Republic. When I meet foreigners, I ask a lot of questions as well, expecting all kinds of answers. The only downside of this show are the awkward moments when the crew fails to explain certain things and makes the foreigners look and feel like idiots. For example, the episode with the steak tartare. But I think it’s slowly getting better and in the most recent episodes, they even added the foreigners’ reactions to learning about the food they’ve been served and why it’s so popular in our country. I hope that this stays on Stream for as long as possible. ()

English I have nothing against entertainment and lightening up serious topics, but I see the meaningfulness of projects such as Jak nás vidí svět (How the World Sees Us) in connection with a certain sociological statement. However, in this case, it is practically non-existent. It is entertainment for the young generation, evident by the selection of interviewees, i.e., the people for whom the show is intended. I miss the feeling of authenticity, as only the answers that corresponded to the creators' ideas were included in the project. Moreover, it is actually based on just one idea. I am not the target audience, but I understand those who search for similar videos on the internet. Overall impression: 40%. ()

English I take this show purely as light entertainment at the expense of the unsuspecting foreigner. Luckily, I’m no stranger to schadenfreude, so I do enjoy the moments during which some clueless person tries to make a hamburger out of a sauce with dumplings, assumes Fernet is a sweet liqueur, or tries to locate the Czech Republic in South America. On the other hand, I'd love to see a show where typical Czechs are subjected to similar challenges. I think I'd have even more fun, because as the lady from South Korea said in one of the episodes, “I want to see a Czech read Korean now!!” // Edit: I had to make a slight adjustment to the rating, even though I found out that our countrymen also include Alexander Ovechkin and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, some topics really annoyed me - for example, the sample of Czech music was really "representative". Plus, there was a recurrent theme: What do you know about the Czech Republic? If the person answers “nothing” right in the beginning, we obviously don't learn much, yet more questions follow, so we end up with something similar to asking a blind person to describe a rainbow. // OK, even though what I said earlier still stands, I'm changing the rating back to four stars. I really enjoyed the "tasting" episodes, although it’s true that they somewhat changed my view of the Australians. ()
