Enter the Fat Dragon

Hong Kong 2020! I didn't have high hopes for it, but it's a ride! Donnie Yen is still lean at the start and the fight in the van while driving is really cool. I was worried that once he gained about 120 kilos, he'd lose it in the action scenes, but surprisingly he does acrobatic stunts that I've never seen from him before, it looked funny at times, but I got used to it. The plot is pretty ordinary, but I liked the romance line, and the villain is great, his sharp kicks reminded me of Max Zhang from Kill Zone 2! The action is enough and very innovative (cinematography, sound, choreography, changing unusual locations) a whole different level than I'm used to from HK and I actually forgot to breathe during the finale. Donnie is a guarantee in every role. Story***, Action*****, Humor***, Violence**, Entertainment****, Music***, Visuals***, Atmosphere***, Suspense***. 8/10. (10/04/2020)
