Salzburger Nockerl (S09E02)

A classic Benno episode with the panorama of the Salzburg castle. The best moment was probably when Benno was shooed away by some Austrian cleaning lady with an absolutely down-to-earth line: “Oh God, you’re so fat, I’ve never seen that in my life.” That was such an honestly plebeian moment. The investigation was crazy and the ending brutal. But Benno’s mom Resi was really putting on a show once again. After downing a poisonous energy drink, she wants to squeeze some money out of the Austrian authorities and so she pretends she’s sick and attempts an insurance fraud, all the while being an investigator’s mother. So even if the whole investigation sucked, she’d always make up for it. (22/03/2015)
