Having covered conflicts across the globe Marie Colvin (Rosamund Pike) has been widely praised for her journalism that has highlighted the plight of ordinary people suffering the perils of war. Her dedication to her work has meant much personal sacrifice. In the besieged Syrian city of Homs, Colvin and her photographer, former soldier Paul Conroy (Jamie Dornan), experience brutal bombing and shelling from the Syrian government with fatal consequences.
