An ordinary woman must summon extraordinary courage to survive a nightmare odyssey in this harrowing survival thriller. Rust Creek is clumsy, drawn-out and uninteresting in every scene, with the exception of those in which the screenwriter’s love of Breaking Bad is palpable. The screenplay offers up surprises and would have sufficed for a standard thriller, but the meek directing killed its potential.
