English First significant success of Tom Hanks, which showcased Hanks' comedic talent. "Big" is a pleasant, laid-back movie dealing with children's desire for a world of "unlimited" adult possibilities, and it stands on a well-crafted script and quality performances. Overall impression 75%. ()

English I can't help it, but Tom Hanks really entertained me here, so I just have to rate it very high. But it's not only because he was great, it's also because of how the whole story is focused, how it manages to connect the children's and adult worlds, and how it shows that beauty lies in that childishness. It's just that we have to learn to live with the fact that we will never be children again, no matter how much we want to. ()
