The number of bees in nature is decreasing. Paradoxically, bees are the most important pollinators of agricultural plants. This Slovak documentary shows how bee communities, on which humanity is so dependent, function. For centuries, we have learned how to obtain honey and other useful materials from bees. We have discovered that they form a perfect system. Today, beekeepers know very well that bees are not pets, and try to approach them responsibly through natural beekeeping. Many of the issues that these insects have to face today are caused by man. This documentary film, complemented by shots of the Slovak landscape, provides thorough information about insects, which are much more important for humanity than we might be aware of.
