Ping Pong

In a remote Taiwanese village, the captain of the school table-tennis team is killed. The villagers believe his death was caused by the curse of a malevolent spirit. Fang Yi, the team coach, joins the school inspector to investigate. The number of victims rises and the murders become more horrific, strengthing the villagers’ belief in the curse. The police are called in but when they find no leads, Fang decides to take matters into his own hands. (Montreal World Film Festival)
