After Brooke Reynolds' married boyfriend is murdered, she gives his watch to his psychiatrist Dr. Sam Rice and asks that he return it to the man's wife. Sam is fascinated by the beautiful Brooke, who he has heard all about during his late patient's therapy sessions. After learning that Brooke's father died mysteriously, and deciding that she looks like a woman who has been stalking him, Sam comes to believe that she murdered his patient, but refuses to compromise his professional ethics by giving information to the police. Horror-style crime thriller that tries to follow in the footsteps of, for example, Hitchcock's classic creation. Decent screenplay and above all quality cast, especially Meryl Streep, who thanks to her high acting professionalism brought a new life to similar characters she has not played too many of. Overall impression: 75%. Several scenes from the film are definitely worth remembering.

A pretty good thriller that will make you scared a couple of times. It’s far from Hitchcock, but comparisons be dammed, it has atmosphere, a mysterious villain and good actors. If you come across it, don’t hesitate.

Considering the cast, I expected it to be a bit better, but I have to admit that it definitely didn't live up to expectations. In the end, it's a pretty normal thriller that will leave you guessing who's behind it until the end. Meryl Streep is adorable in the role and she and Roy make an interesting couple.
