Last Girl Standing wants to tell us that the hour and a half we are watching is justified, but in reality it turns out that it is not all that important. The film could have said the same thing in a much shorter time and without the unnecessary crutches of the lengthy character introductions and a generally slow pace that wants to claim there is something more to the film. In the end, it isn't.
