Mystery novelist Phillip Blackwood has writer's block. He hits the courtrooms for inspiration--and is zapped with a doozy. A mysterious Romanian beauty arraigned for murder arouses both his creative and amorous impulses. Is she guilty? Who are the gray-suited fellows shadowing her? Blackwood's smitten. Hopefully, Cupid isn't packing heat. (official distributor synopsis)

A fairly undemanding crime comedy, capitalizing on Tom Selleck's charisma and Pavlína Pořízková's charms. It's typical of 1980s productions. At least in this film, Pořízková delivered a decent performance; it's a shame she didn't break through in more prominent films. Overall impression: 50%. ()
