Barry Otto is maverick Professor Harry Beckmeyer who learns to understand the torment of a freak species when he experiments on a captured "Werewolf" in his lab. When the goverments wants the experiments stopped and all traces of the species wiped out Harry (who's now fallen in love with the marsupial girl, Jerboa - Imogen Annesley) is determined to protect her no matter what. This is really not a serious film. It doesn't take itself too seriously and might even want to have some fun. But it only succeeds halfway and is more entertaining in the sense that it's terrible trash. On the other hand, the special effects are absolutely awesome and I enjoyed the film a lot in that respect. The series shows that we can expect anything from any film. And therein lies the greatest beauty - at least for now - of the Howling series.
