Plots(1)

Maddie Hayes (Cybil Shepard), a wealthy former model, discovers one morning that her business manager has stolen all the money she has in the bank. However, it turns out that she still owns some non-liquid assets -- money-losing companies which were maintained as tax write-offs -- one of which is a detective agency run by David Addison (Bruce Willis). Maddie meets with him to inform him that the company is to be shut down, but he persuades her to keep it open by convincing her that the detective agency can make money. Maddie becomes David's new boss and accompanies him on adventure after adventure. While their personalities clash, a sexual tension arises in the time they spend together. But the question always remains... will they or won't they? (official distributor synopsis)

English A verbose Bruce and a very charming Cybill. Two elements, the combination of which produces a chemical reaction that has the power of TNT. And even with the passage of time, it works reliably. ()

English I watched this series at the beginning of the 90s. At the time, it had a decent charm for me, as it was a series that represented a breath of fresh air compared to the classic series from worse authors. The chemistry between the two main characters worked well, the dialogues sparkled, and especially Bruce Willis delivered his famous lines. I would say it was Cybill Shepherd's best role. I haven't seen all the episodes, so I have no idea if the series had a downward tendency towards the end. Nevertheless, the unique mix of romance, comedy, and crime made a good impression on me. Overall impression: 60%. ()
