After forgiving Logan for his indiscretions, Rory needs some time for herself, so she visits Lorelai in Stars Hollow. Although Lorelai refuses to admit that she is upset, Rory can tell that she is bothered by the news that Luke will be gone for a few days on a field trip with his daughter. Against Lorelai's wishes, Rory goes to the store owned by the girl's mother, Ana (recurring guest star Sherilyn Fenn), to spy on her.
