English It's a major pity that this successful middle-class family did not succeed enough primarily due to the competition from the infinitely more aggressive and established The Simpsons, as both the character portrayal and the quality of the script of individual episodes are highly superior. The drawing is more subtle compared to The Simpsons, but the animation remains at a high level. The storytelling is slower, with fewer gags, but each episode ends with a good point. King of the Hill deliberately does not use the possibilities and exaggeration typical of animated creations, and the characters "act" like live actors, their adventures are more restrained, and there are no cheap effects. This animated series speaks more about the life of the American middle-class in the endless flood of suburban houses than dozens of live-action films. Overall impression 90%. ()
