William Conrad stars as Jason Lochinvar "Fatman" McCabe, a rotund, cigar-chomping district attorney with a bulldog's tenacity. Along with his suave investigator, Jake Styles (Joe Penny), he secures convictions for some of Southern California's most bewildering crimes, bringing to justice a despicable mix of killers, thieves, and rapists.
