The story lured me in, but then I was taken aback by the dull flow and the fact that the American authors couldn’t squeeze more out of the trip across Spain. The story is a bit like Lolita, only with the difference that here, Maggie Smith plays a seasoned woman and Timothy Bottoms plays an inexperienced boy who annoyed me in almost every single scene. ()
