The Spell

Near the station in a small Indian town, people of humble origin and with very different backgrounds are filmed in the privacy of their home. The camera allows us to share a brief instant in their lives. Gaarud tells the tale of a place that is both shut off from the world and looks out to it, where individual destinies are woven into the fabric of a many-faced India.
