English I’m truly shocked that the creators attempted to develop a premise about cockroaches that come from deep down in the earth after an earthquake and live out of ash and the fires they cause themselves (!!!) not as a funny B-movie, but as serious sci-fi horror. And I’m even more shocked that to a certain extent they pulled it off. It’s full of crazy silliness, but in the second half especially, they manage to play some unsettling tones as we follow a biologist who’s gone a little mad after the loss of his lover and has decided to play with the bugs and mutate them. A film so bizarre that it’s worth a watch. ()

English Bug is a film that came as a big surprise to me. I didn't expect much from a film with this title, so I was even more surprised that it's a functional film. The shots of cockroaches are disturbing, and coupled with the well-executed and quality editing, you feel like they're truly dangerous and capable of causing everything presented here. Bug is a film that definitely shouldn't be overlooked. ()

English Pyromaniac insects are a tricky problem. This  very bizarre, but relatively promising and interesting subject matter is let down by the woefully slow pacing of the narrative. One hundred minutes is really too much for this type of B-movie, especially when it really only gets going in the last five minutes. Do not expect any devastating insect-made inferno. This was the last movie from the workshop of the legendary William Castle, which could have been much better, but it still can be an unforgettable experience for entomophobics, I guess. ()
