The Directors

A quality documentary series about the most interesting North American directors, providing insight into their "production kitchens" and ways of thinking. The directors themselves, as well as actors involved in their works, comment on the creation of their most important films and the challenges surrounding their production. The drawback is that it often lacks perspectives from the other side - expert critics and opponents among journalists or representatives of film studios. Overall impression: 80%. (27/05/2007)
