English Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are the only comedians of the silent era and its transition to sound film that I liked and watched as a child. Even after years, they haven't lost their charm for me and are still entertaining. I remember them more as silent characters of grotesque, but their speaking roles are perhaps even better. A classic that won't age much, you just have to enjoy their grotesque humor. Even I am not always in the mood for it. ()
