Star Trek beneath the waves? At first glance, yes, but on closer inspection this no longer applies. Personally, Sea Quest was always closer to my heart. Although the quality dropped fast and so only the first two seasons are at all watchable, but at the beginning it had a magic about it, good ideas and solid actors. Today, not many people hark back to this series, and that’s no surprise, but it did have certain qualities, at least to start off with.
